Casual Friday

Gap jeans, Gifted t-shirt, Urban Outfitters sweater and shoes, Zara bag, Forever 21 scarf (c/o LB), ASOS ring, Fossil watch

You know it is a good day when you are wearing a t-shirt with mustaches on it. It has been unusually warm in Knoxville this week. We are talking high's in the 60's. In JANUARY! What? My point is this sweater is really warm, like a little too warm for 60 degree weather. Also today is the first day in a week that it hasn't been raining. Never been so happy.

This post it reminiscent of awkward small talk. Let's talk about the weather. Happy Friday!

Have a wonderful Holiday weekend

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I hope you have a holiday weekend to remember. I am so excited to eat Christmas cookies and spend time with my family! I am hoping Santa brings me a new car, but if not I will settle for anything cheetah.

Finally

I (SB) am really sorry for the lack of posts lately, but I had to complete my undergraduate career. I graduated from college today! FINALLY!! This weekend is going to be full of celebration, but I promise we will be back Monday with more lessons on being trendy! Have a great weekend and have some celebratory drinks for me!

Seven Things

Gold cuffs - going wear one on each arm (inspired by Emily and Blair)

My weekend was crazy and filled with driving between Knoxville and Louisville, but I managed to find seven things that made my weekend a little more fun. Also I was surprised at how much I loved Louisville (I cannot believe I am saying this) and now I am very excited about grad school!

Clutch, Scarf, and Red jeans all from Forever 21. Obviously my mom and I were scoping out the shopping in Louisville this weekend and we stumbled upon the largest Forever 21 I have ever been to!

Fun alarm clock that makes waking up a little easier.

Teal and Glitter nails that I have gotten tons of compliments on! Teal nail polish from Old Navy and Glitter from Forever 21.

My favorite painting that I made in my Painting I class that is so heavy we can't hang it on the wall.

Peyton Manning jersey that I got to see when on a tour of Neyland Stadium!

Fun bear hat that we found at Mast General Store in Knoxville!

Hope you had a great weekend!

Have a Colorful Weekend

While LB is off to Nashville to play and shop her time away, I am excitedly off to Kentucky to consider furthering my education. Ironic, I know. I am hoping to get my masters in Art Therapy, so these four (and a half) years of working toward a Bachelors in Studio Art are not a complete waste. I thought I would share with you some of my recent work. I have been making watercolors or oil paintings and then photographing them in various stages of completion. Initially my idea was for these photographs to serve as inspiration for future paintings. I would love to hear what you think about this work!

Here are just a few examples of my work. These are all of watercolor paintings. I also did this project using film, so I might show that next (maybe the oil paintings too). Hope you enjoy and have a fun and colorful weekend!
See you Monday!

Weekend Wrap-up

On Friday I had to take the GRE and LB had an important presentation, so we started our weekend off right....by painting our nails at the bar.

We continued the fun and found a few more people that wanted to celebrate with us!

Saturday was Gameday, so it consisted of more friends and tons of orange. LB told me that the bag pictured below is her Gameday bag because, "It's big enough to carry it all and canvas enough to keep it cool." It's the little things in life.

We actually got together before the game to make sure we all had our scarves, and then we had a quick tutorial on how to tie them so we could all match. What can we do? We have really trendy friends....duh.

Hope your weekend was as fun and friend filled as ours was!

Weekend Wrap-up

Even though it was gross we ventured out on Friday to our usual spots. Can't keep a trendy girl down.

And on Saturday we celebrated the trendiest holiday of all: Halloween!

In character.

This blog is so obviously sponsored by Coors Light. Chic.

We spent some time Sunday afternoon thrifting for upcoming projects. Results to be posted soon!

Happy Halloween my little ghouls!

Weekend Snapshots

This weekend consisted drinks with friends, the tiny Urban Outfitters pop up store that came to Knoxville, unfortunate fortunes, pumpkins, and the first of true fall weather in TN!
