On a Paisley Day

Forever 21 tunic and clutch, gifted scarf, Office boots, Ettika bracelet featured here
Tricked you! This dreary seemingly European city isn't in Brussels. No, it's just Knoxville. Okay, so you probably didn't think it was Europe, but a girl can dream. Maybe the weather will cooperate for our photoshoot tomorrow? Again, a girl can dream.

Back to the point, I'm obsessed with this tunic. Take off those boots and leggings and add flat sandals. Voila! Summer outfit in a pinch. Who doesn't love a little paisley?

Not so Mellow Yellow

Collective Concepts dress, Old Navy vest, Gap belt, Forever 21 clutch and tights, Target booties,  JCrew and Banana Republic bracelets & ring

You might think - neon yellow belt, not practical. Well, you are wrong. I wore it approximately twice a week during the summer, so needless to say I was really excited to incorporate it into a cold weather outfit. Also, I suggest to get up and immediately go to Forever 21 and buy these tights. They are like sweaters for your legs. Who doesn't love that? Exactly.

Caped

Collective Concepts dress via Piperlime, Forever 21 cape, Hue tights, Michael Antonio booties, Forever 21 cuffs and clutch, H&M rings

I spun around in 5 inch wedges, just so I could show you the fun things you can do in a cape. Do I really need to say more than that?

Also LB and I apologize for the sporadic posts recently. Regularly stationed programming to return Monday. What can I say...we are just still in the holiday spirit. And by spirit I mean we have been lying around in outfits deemed not acceptable for the public.

Pop of Red

Gap sweater (this color is sold out) and shorts, Hue tights, Michael Antonio shoes (on sale!), Forever 21 bracelets and clutch, Necklace c/o LB

This outfit might as well have been c/o Gap because it was basically free. Gap has the most ridiculous sales. You are probably thinking, "Is she really wearing those shoes AGAIN?" Okay, I'm sorry but they are seriously the best. I will admit I am on the hunt for some more black heels or wedges, so hopefully I will be able to show you something trendy & NEW very soon. Hope you had the Happiest of Holidays and are as excited about New Years as I am!

Thrifted

Forever 21 skirt, clutch & cuff, thrifted shirt, Gap scarf, Hue tights, Mia Xara Boots (on sale!)

I was so excited when I found this shirt at a thrift store! Plus, the day I went all the shirts were an extra 50% off...WHAT? I swear it was like $1.50. On another note, I am obsessed with these boots. They are so comfortable and practical and I am thinking about getting them in black too. What do you think?

Day and Nightlife

Guess coat, Forever 21 sweater, Gap skirt & clutch, Urban Outfitters scarf, Hue tights, Michael Antonio booties, Forever 21 bracelet & rings, Fossil watch

While most of the things a trendy girl has to do involve cocktails and cupcakes, sometimes we actually do have to go to work. Luckily this outfit it works for both work and drinks. The combo of the oversize sweater and sequin skirt actually makes this outfit appropriate for everything, duh. I will admit that at work I wore flats. I love these shoes and while they are comfortable (for 6 inch wedges), they would not be conducive for my job. The flats also make it a little more work appropriate.

Comfy

Free People sweater (similar), Gap shirt, Express jeans and scarf, Target booties, Forever 21 clutch and jewelery, Fossil watch

Other things this post could have been titled:
1. Sometimes I wear blankets as shirts
2. Worlds largest sweater
3. Very large sweater, very little warmth
4. Cheetah cheetah duh (this is an appropriate title for every post)
5. I seriously hope pale is the new tan
6. We are back!!

I think that is enough. Hope your Monday was a cozy as this sweater!

Cheap and Chic

Damn girl, ya mean. (J Cole voice)

So this outfit cost less than $100! It may be an ode to Forever 21, but let's break it down anyway.

Simple Forever 21 t-shirt dress for $12. It's basic, but easy to use in layering. (similar
Booties for $30. Say what?! And they're still available here.
Scarf for eight bucks. But I also love this cheetah one at Urban.
H&M pleather "vegan leather" jacket for $40. Target has a similar one here.
Tights also via our fave Swedish retailer. (No, not Ikea.) Here for your viewing pleasure.

Done! Accessorize to your heart's content.

Miles and Miles

Everly dress via Tobi, Hobo clutch, Hue tights, Michael Antonio Cane Wedges via Piperlime, Belt c/o LB, Forever 21 cuffs and rings, Essie Downtown Brown nail polish

Do you ever shop on Tobi? Well they have this really awesome deal. Every week they get 53 new items in and for a week all 53 of the new items are 30% off! I got this Everly dress on Tobi about a month ago for 30% off. Honestly, it was a complete impulse buy. I got on the website around 11:30pm and the sale was ending at midnight, so I bought it on a whim and I am SO glad that I did! Also FREE shipping and no tax! Who doesn't love that? You should also check out the booties I am wearing. They are like 6 inches and the MOST comfortable booties I own. Also, so reasonably priced!

Sequins + Fur

Banana Republic Sequin Sweatshirt (love this sequin dress from BR), Gap Faux Fur vest, Forever 21 jeans (love this color too), shoes, clutch and ring, Fossil watch

Can you tell it is raining? Well it is. Knoxville is on a depressing weather kick, so I picked this outfit to add a little spice to a otherwise dreary day! This sequin sweatshirt is so fun because it is the perfect mix of dressy and casual and because it is a sweatshirt it is ridiculously comfortable! I got this fur vest at Gap last holiday season, but now I have my eye on this one. Hopefully Santa already got it for me because it is sold out!

Seven Things

Gold cuffs - going wear one on each arm (inspired by Emily and Blair)

My weekend was crazy and filled with driving between Knoxville and Louisville, but I managed to find seven things that made my weekend a little more fun. Also I was surprised at how much I loved Louisville (I cannot believe I am saying this) and now I am very excited about grad school!

Clutch, Scarf, and Red jeans all from Forever 21. Obviously my mom and I were scoping out the shopping in Louisville this weekend and we stumbled upon the largest Forever 21 I have ever been to!

Fun alarm clock that makes waking up a little easier.

Teal and Glitter nails that I have gotten tons of compliments on! Teal nail polish from Old Navy and Glitter from Forever 21.

My favorite painting that I made in my Painting I class that is so heavy we can't hang it on the wall.

Peyton Manning jersey that I got to see when on a tour of Neyland Stadium!

Fun bear hat that we found at Mast General Store in Knoxville!

Hope you had a great weekend!
